I know that most of you probably ignored my post about the E-mail roulette and did not subscribe. So I can tell you all: you missed lots of fun! There is a limerick-composing rouletteer now, and I got a custom-made limerick! How cool is that!
There was a Young Lady of Sweden,
Who went by the slow train to Weedon;
When they cried, ‘Weedon Station!’
She made no observation
And ended up back in Sweden

The origins of the actual word limerick is obscure. The name is often linked to an earlier form of nonsense verse which was traditionally followed by the refrain that ended “?¢‚Ǩ¬¶come all the way up to Limerick?”, Limerick being an Irish tow
