Four things

Rashmi supposes that if I would participate in something like the Five Weird Habits meme, I would of course not refuse doing the Four Things meme. And, of course, she is right. It seems to be a common female trait, this being right about stuff. But I’m drifting.

Here go my four things, with some new categories thrown in for variety’s sake.

Four jobs I’ve had

  • Teacher of Various Stuff
  • Programmer
  • Teaching Assistant
  • Currently, Breaker of Software and Fighter of Sloppy Programming (especially mine)

Four books I recently enjoyed

Four places I’ve lived in

  • Moscow (don’t remember much, though)
  • Madrid
  • Gothenburg
  • Currently, Zürich

Four sites I visit (almost) daily

Four places I would rather be right now

  • In California
  • In Madrid
  • Skiing somewhere in the Alps
  • Exploring Asia

Four pieces I of software I enjoy using daily

Four albums I have enjoyed recently

Four bloggers I’m tagging

  • dalr, because he has previously inflicted a meme on me, and we need to get even.
  • Helga, because she needs to make an English-language post from time to time.
  • Jon, because it would be nice to see his less computer-geeky side.
  • Gonzalo Cotorruelo, because he is been writing all these good content-laden posts lately, and it makes my brain ache.

I’m craving ketchup now. I’d better go to sleep.

Hopefully is your brain that aches because of the things I write, no your head… or maybe it’s a typo ;-)

I still remember about the Mac post… I promise I’ll do it this week.

Regards,
G

Yeah, my brain aches because you make me think, and I am not use to that. So it hurts. ;-)

Hmmm, I think I will not take part in this meme (which was by the way already thrown at me before). The thing is, that I Iike memes where write something and not just enumerate some points. Therefore I adapted the weird habit meme. Maybe next time if it is something more verbose :)

Well, you can modify this meme to make it more verbose. For example, you can give more details about your reasons to list those things. Or you can always post about four reasons not to take part in the meme. ;-)

I don’t understand how you tagging my posts will encourage me to blog in a less geeky manner.

I was just hoping for a less AJAXy and more ‘human interest’ kind of post. I knew it was a long shot, but hey, you can’t blame a girl for trying!

Ok. You can enjoy your revenge in http://algarroba.blogspot.com/2006/03/cuatro-cosillas.html (in spanish)

Thanks! :-)

Human interest, ey? I don’t go for all that xanga / myspace / livejournal nonsense. If people want to know what I had for dinner, they should have been there with me.

Say, would you consider your blog layout a mullet?

Ha, I would have been there, but I am unfortunately too far away.

As for my blog’s layout and the mullet, I have been thinking about that. Watch this space for a post on the subject. :-)

Your blog mullet is short. Your hair in real life is short.
Coincidence? I think not …
