I already speak English. I completed the 5 years at the EOI some time ago, so that's not a problem. However, i would like to learn Swedish but there is only one EOI in Madrid which teaches it and time to register is over. Probably next year... meanwhile I'd like to learn on my own. I'll look for some online courses or just books, or a visit to Ikea. They have plenty of books in Swedish to decorate the different rooms :P Seriously, I'll try to visit that Centro Escandinavo. Yes, everyday life in Sweden happens in Swedish, surprisingly. However, at university you have lots of courses in English, so to go there as an exchange student you just need to speak English, not Swedish. But if you are interested in learning Swedish, you can take courses at the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas, or contact folks at the Centro Escandinavo in Madrid; I am sure they have lots of advice about that.
