[Originally posted on what used to be a separate blog 'On jobs, work and careers' and later was merged into this blog.]
If you’re one of those readers that are paying attention (of which, admittedly, I probably don’t have many, but still…), you might have noticed that I haven’t been writing much around here. I’ve been writing a bit more on the other blog, though.
Since I don’t like to leave things to rot unattended and unfinalized, I want to ask you, my gentle reader, what should I do about this blog On jobs, work and careers.
Below is my list of proposed paths forward; please state your preference in the comments. If I don’t get at least three votes, I will declare this blog dead.
- Migrate all the entries from this blog to the other blog. Post all subsequent related posts there.
- Keep this blog separate and post more frequently. If this is your preferred option, please suggests post titles or topics that you would like to see addressed here. You can also list your preferred posting frequency, if you so wish.
- Other: do you have a better proposal?
Thank you very much in advance. ![]()

I think you should write all in only one blog. If you try to maintain 2 blogs you’ll surely write more in one of them, so I prefer to mix all the things in only one blog and continue reading your posts than don’t reading anything on Jobs, Works and Careers.
But I like your topic on Jobs, so I’d like you to write more articles about this topic.
Thanks for let us know your knowledge about jobs…
#2 I have to agree. I had different blogs and it didn’t work.
#0 Write more often, please. Possible topics: company culture, ethics, work environment (private offices?), when and why should students care about internships, motivation of employees, not everything are technical skills. Not very inspired today
I agree with #2 & #3: one blog should be enough. About the topics to cover: I like reading on almost anything, so no special suggestions here… However, Ana, I would recommend you to include comparisons between different points of view on any post, no matter the topic. I mean: you are half Spanish-half Russian, you have studied in Spain and Sweden and now work in Switzerland for an American company. And the list goes longer… So probably there are similarities and differences between cultures and people you can refer to in any of your posts, regardless of the topic. Tackling the same topic from different perspectives may help you (even if those perspectives are not present anymore and relate to past attitudes towards the topic under scrutiny).
