Book Notes: Secret Coders

Secret Coders (Secret Coders, #1) by Gene Luen Yang

⭐⭐⭐

An amusing enough story about a couple of school kids investigating mysteries at their school, but not much more depth to it than this pretty common trope (kid joins new school, new school has Mysteries, new kid makes new friend, kid and friend Investigate Mysteries).

The book is probably targeted at ~10 year-olds. In addition to the cute story, the book teaches basics of the binary system and how programming works (e.g. there is an actual “turtle” that follows instructions).

There is a whole series, but I’ll stop with this first volume.
