Book Notes: The First 90 Days

I found the suggested frameworks very helpful to plan and prioritize my work as I started a new job. I will be referencing this book as I continue my onboarding.

The reading felt a little dull – it is all about checklists and assessment tables. Each chapter starts with a little story that is supposed to motivate the topic of the chapter, but the stories felt dry and not compelling.The book seems to be geared towards traditional corporate jobs, so most of the specific examples and suggestions don’t apply directly to my job and I had to adapt those to my situation (I’m an engineering manager at a tech company).
