Hollis gives a Jungian perspective on the phase of life when we re-evaluate how we want to be spending our time and our energy (often called a “midlife crisis”, although Hollis is careful to point out that this might happen before or after midlife). From a Jungian standpoint, working through this period of change is all about bringing more things to consciousness, becoming more aware and accepting of who we really are and what we need.
This is a very short book. I found it a good introductiong to Jungian concepts and it contains some inspiration for becoming more self-aware and at peace with oneself. It does not offer much practical, easily applicable advice.
